V and A Bonnet makers Design Project

If you know someone in P5/4 be sure to ask them about the V & A Bonnetmakers Project!  The class went with pupils from Our Ladys RC PS today to the Vision Building where they had a design jam, making hats.  Real hats designed by the children are being produced by milliners and will be on parade soon!

Water Bottles

Please can we remind you that children may have a water bottle for use in class.  Juice, fruit shoots, flavoured water, cans etc. are not permitted.  A refillable bottle, labelled with the child's name can be kept in class and we will send these home for cleaning periodically.  Thank you for your co-operation!

Dudhope Castle

Primaries one and two had a walk down to Dudhope Castle as part of their new Castles topic.  They were able to get a close up look and had lots of things to think about when they came back to school.

Scottish Country Dance Festival

Hot on the heels of our successful Scottish Night, P5/4 went along to Fintry Primary School to take part in Dundee Active Schools Scottish Country Dance Festival.  They danced some new sets as well as those they have already learned.  Many thanks to Mrs MacGillivray, a class Granny, for coming along to help out!

Foodbank Donation

The football club members want to say a massive thank you to everyone who donated food to their recent appeal.  They delivered 35.3kg of food plus left over cakes, mincepies and chocolate from our parties!   Thank you everyone.

Pupil Council

Pupil Council

Our new pupil council has had it's first meeting of 2016-17 with representatives from every class bringing ideas from every year group.  The pupils were elected by the children and are helped by the Head Boy and Girl.

Discovery School in Residence

We are very excited to announce that we have been chosen as RRS Discovery's School in Residence for 2016-2017.  This will mean lots of exciting activities in partnership with the learning team at Discovery Point.  Our first is to walk the same distance as Captain Scott walked from Discovery in 1902!  More details soon!

House Captains

Meet our team of House Captains.  They each have a buddy group of P1 - P7s to organise in school - Emerald, Jade, Crimson, Scarlet, Cobalt, Sapphire, Lemon and Gold.   They also help Staff in many ways during the school day.

Names and Notes!

It would help us reunite belongings if you could name every item with a permanent marker. Coats, shoes and gym shoes, shorts and t-shirts, schoolbags and gym bags, jumpers and cardis, pinafores and trousers....even water bottles, lunch boxes and schoolbags!  We hope to end the year with no unclaimed, lost items.  Thank you!

Please remember to check your child's schoolbag daily for letters and notes that we send home. These will contain important information that we don't want you to miss.  Thanks!
